Step 2 – Register a Jasper Account

Similarly to Surfer SEO, you must register a Jasper AI account by going to their website and signing up for a 5-day free trial.

Step 3 – Integrate Surfer SEO

After registering and logging in to your Surfer SEO account, the next step is to integrate it with Jasper AI. For this, you must log in to your Jasper AI account. In your Jasper AI account, click on “Settings” and next “Integrations.”

On the SurferSEO box, activate the integration. This way, you can use Surfer SEO optimization recommendations directly in Jasper AI.

Step 4 – Create a New Document

Okay, let’s have fun and create our first blog post!

So, click on “New Document” in the top right corner.

Next, select “Freeform with any template.” I always use this option to write my posts. If you want, you can pick “workflow.”

This option will guide you through the writing process, as it’s designed for people who want to create content fast. However, I find the content I get from there sounds more robotic.

Once you’ve opened a new document on your content editor, it’s time to set up a few things.

Step 5 – Configure Your New Document

In my case, I want to write a blog post about “Surfer SEO vs. Ahrefs.” It’s a comparison article in that I’ll discuss the pros and cons of each SEO tool and how they differ from each other.

However, you want to add your own topic and what you want to write about. Do the following steps:

1 – Rename Your Document: This helps you more easily identify your document later on.

2 – Content Description: Briefly explain what you want the artificial intelligence to write for you. For example, “I want a detailed article comparing Surfer SEO and Ahrefs. I want to know the similarities, advantages, and disadvantages of each tool and how they can help you improve your website’s SEO.”

3 – Tone Of Voice: Select the tone of voice you want your content to have, such as casual, excited, professional, funny, Joe Rogan, etc. I always choose “excited” because it adds a bit of energy and enthusiasm to the writing and makes it more interesting to my readers.

4 – SEO Mode: You’ll notice several boxes appear on the top. You want to choose SEO mode and connect your Surfer SEO account.

If it isn’t connected, make sure to log in. Afterward, you want to add your main keyword to the “Keyword” box. In my case, “Surfer SEO vs Ahrefs,” I press “Create Content Editor.”

Now I sit back and relax while waiting for Surfer SEO to analyze the keyword and provide recommendations on optimizing my content.

Step 6 – Write Your Outline

I always like to start with a nice outline for my content. This way, you can organize your thoughts and make sure you cover all the essential points.

Anyway, now you’ll see a content score in the left corner. You want to aim for a score that is at least average, but if you can, you should strive for a score above your top competitor.

You increase your content score by including the suggested keywords throughout your content.

Now follow the next steps to write a good outline:

1 – Write your H1, including your main keyword. And you can see on the side that it immediately improved my SEO content score.

2 – Use this command to tell Jasper AI to write an outline “>write an outline” and press (CTRL+Shift+Enter)

3 – Format your outline so everything looks good. You can make each subheading H2 or H3 on the level of importance. And also, edit each heading to include the suggested keywords from Surfer SEO.

4 – Also, you can go to Surfer SEO and click on “Outline.” This will show you suggested headings and titles you may want to include in your outline. I’m going to add “What Does Surfer SEO Analyze?” That seems like an interesting question that many readers may have about this tool.

Step 7 – Start Creating Content

Once you have a good outline, it’s time to start writing! You want to go to each section and expand on the points included in your outline.

1 – I press (CTRL+J) below my first subheading and see what Jasper generates.

2 – I can see that Jasper generated some interesting sentences that I can use as a starting point for my content.
